From Petra Visitor Center, head southeast towards the main entrance of the archaeological site. Once inside, follow the path through the Siq, a narrow gorge that leads to the Treasury. After visiting the Treasury, exit the site and continue eastward along the main path towards the High Place of Sacrifice. From there, take the trail that leads northeast towards Al-Baydha. You will walk through beautiful landscapes and may encounter Bedouin tents. The distance from the High Place of Sacrifice to Al-Baydha is approximately 4 km, so be prepared for a hike taking about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace.
