Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the center of Umm Qais, start at the main square where you will see the local shops. Head north on the main road, following the signs that point towards the archaeological sites. Continue straight for about 15 minutes until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path, which is more scenic and lined with olive trees. After about 10 minutes, you will see the entrance to the Archaeological Museum of Umm Qais on your right.

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Umm Qais. Start from the main square and head north on the main road. After about 1 km, take the left fork at the split towards the archaeological site. The route is mostly downhill and takes you through beautiful countryside. The museum will be on your right after approximately 20 minutes of cycling.

• Public Bus

  Locate the bus stop in the center of Umm Qais, usually near the main square. Look for a bus heading towards the archaeological sites. The journey will take about 10-15 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Archaeological Museum stop. Once you get off, the museum entrance will be just a short walk away, clearly marked.
