    From downtown Lawrence, walk to the nearest bus stop on Massachusetts St. Catch the Lawrence Transit Route 1 heading to the Lawrence Bus Station. Once at the station, transfer to the Greyhound bus service heading towards Boston. After arriving in Boston, take the 'T' (subway) from South Station to Haymarket Station on the Green Line. From there, walk towards the North End, following signs for Charlestown. You will arrive at the Charlestown Navy Yard located at 1st Ave & 3rd St.

    Rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Lawrence. Start at the intersection of 9th St and Massachusetts St. Head east on 9th St until you reach the Lawrence Riverfront Trail. Continue north on the Burroughs Creek Trail until you reach the junction with the Massachusetts River Trail. Follow this trail until you arrive in Charlestown.
