From Almaty city center, take the Abay Avenue (Abay Street) heading southeast. Continue driving until you reach the intersection with Al-Farabi Avenue. Turn onto Al-Farabi Avenue and continue straight until you reach the Medeu District. You will see signs for the Medeu Ice Rink, which is a popular landmark. Continue past the Ice Rink and follow the road until it becomes the Unnamed Road leading into the mountains. Follow the Unnamed Road for about 5 km until you reach the coordinates 42V3+4HQ, which is the entrance to Kok Zhailau.
