If you are driving to Gorelnik waterfall, begin your journey from Almaty. Head southeast on Al-Farabi Avenue, continuing onto the road that leads to the Medeu District. Follow signs for Medeu and then turn onto the road leading to the Ile-Alatau National Park. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating Gorelnik waterfall. Make sure to park at the designated area near the waterfall trailhead. The coordinates for parking are approximately 43.1212339, 77.0535978.
Public Transportation
To reach Gorelnik waterfall using public transportation, take Bus #28 or #12 from Almaty city center to the Medeu area. Once you arrive at the Medeu bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 4km to reach the trailhead for Gorelnik waterfall.
