Getting There

Car
From the main entrance of Altyn Emel National Park, head southeast on the main road. Follow the signs towards the Karabulak gorge. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach the intersection of FFRG+R3. Turn left at this intersection. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the Karabulak (Shoqan camp) gorge. Make sure to keep an eye out for any park signage that might indicate specific turns towards the gorge.

Start from the nearest city, which is Almaty. Take a bus or shared taxi to the town of Kegen.
