Getting There

    If you are driving from Big Almaty Lake to Almaty Zoo, start by heading south on the M36 highway. Follow the road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the city of Almaty. Once you enter the city, take the exit towards Almaty Center. Continue on Al-Farabi Avenue and then turn right onto Abay Avenue. Follow Abay Avenue until you reach Ormanov Street. Turn left onto Ormanov Street, and you will find Almaty Zoo at 66 Ormanov St. Parking is available near the zoo, but it may incur a fee.

    To reach Almaty Zoo using public transportation, start at the nearest bus stop in Big Almaty Lake. Take bus number 28 towards Almaty. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Get off at the 'Almaty Central Park' stop. From there, it's a short walk to Almaty Zoo: head east on Abay Avenue, turn left onto Ormanov Street, and you will arrive at Almaty Zoo located at 66 Ormanov St. The bus fare is typically around 100 KZT.
