Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from Almaty city center and head southeast on Al-Farabi Avenue. Continue onto Dostyk Avenue, and then take the right exit onto Zhandosov Street. Follow Zhandosov Street for about 10 km until you reach the Visit Center Ile-Alatau National Park, located at Zhandosov Street 1, Kamenka. There is usually no parking fee, but check for any potential road tolls on your route.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Visit Center using public transportation, take bus number 12 from Almaty city center towards Kamenka. The bus will take you directly to the vicinity of the Visit Center. Make sure to get off at the stop closest to Zhandosov Street. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to the Visit Center located at Zhandosov Street 1. The bus fare is approximately 100 KZT.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct option, consider taking a taxi. You can book a ride through a local app like Yandex Go or use a taxi service. The ride from Almaty city center to the Visit Center should take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic, and will cost approximately 1500 to 3000 KZT.

• Walking

  If you are already within the park and close to Zhandosov Street, walking is a pleasant way to reach the Visit Center. Simply follow the signs in the park for Zhandosov Street, and it should take you about 15-20 minutes on foot. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain may vary.
