Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Kolsai Lakes National Park. Drive towards the main road leading to the village of Saty. Continue driving for approximately 18 kilometers until you reach the sign for Chulak Gorge. Turn left at the sign and follow the winding road for about 5 kilometers. You will reach a small parking area where you can leave your car. From the parking area, it’s a short 15-minute hike to the gorge.

To reach Chulak Gorge using public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Almaty to the village of Saty. The journey takes about 4-5 hours. Once you arrive in Saty, you can hire a local taxi or join a group of tourists to share a ride to the entrance of Kolsai Lakes National Park.
