Car
If you are traveling by car, you can reach Kolsai Lake by taking the A351 road from Almaty. Drive approximately 280 kilometers east towards the village of Saty. Upon reaching Saty, follow the signs to Kolsai Lakes National Park. The road is mostly paved but may have some rough patches as you get closer to the park. Parking is available near the entrance of the park, where you may need to pay an entrance fee of around 500 KZT per person.

Public Transportation
To reach Kolsai Lake using public transportation, catch a bus from Almaty to the village of Saty. Buses depart from the Sayakhat Bus Station in Almaty. The journey takes around 4-5 hours and costs approximately 1,500 KZT. Once you arrive in Saty, you will need to take a taxi or a shared minivan to the entrance of Kolsai Lakes National Park, which can cost around 1,000-2,000 KZT.

Once you enter Kolsai Lakes National Park, Kolsai Lake is accessible via a well-marked hiking trail. The hike from the park entrance to the lake takes about 1-2 hours on foot, depending on your pace. Ensure that you wear comfortable hiking shoes and carry sufficient water and snacks. The trail is moderately challenging, so be prepared for some uphill sections.
