Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the Kolsai Lakes National Park entrance. Follow the main road leading to Saty village. After approximately 30 kilometers, take a left turn at the signboard indicating Vodopad Alatas. Continue on this road for about 7 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the waterfall. From there, it is a short 15-minute hike to the waterfall itself.
Public Transportation
To reach Vodopad Alatas by public transport, take a bus from Almaty to Saty village. Buses depart frequently from the Sayakhat bus station in Almaty. The journey takes about 4-5 hours and costs around 1500 KZT. Once you arrive in Saty, hire a local taxi or find a shared marshrutka (minibus) to take you towards Vodopad Alatas. It's a short drive of about 7 kilometers, and the taxi fare should be around 2000 KZT. After reaching the drop-off point, you will need to hike approximately 15 minutes to reach the waterfall.
