Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Nanyuki town. Head northwest on the A2 highway towards the junction with the C77 road. After approximately 30 km, turn left onto the C77 towards Rumuruti. Continue on this road for about 15 km until you reach the junction with the G389 road. Turn right onto G389 and drive for another 20 km until you arrive at Ol Lentille. Be aware that some sections of the road may be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.
Public Transportation
To reach Ol Lentille using public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Nanyuki to Rumuruti. The journey typically takes around 1 hour. Once in Rumuruti, you will need to hire a taxi or a local driver to take you to Ol Lentille, which is approximately 20 km away. Ensure you agree on the fare before starting the journey. The taxi fare can range from KES 1,500 to KES 2,500 depending on your negotiation skills and the driver.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
If you prefer a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from Nanyuki directly to Ol Lentille. This method is more comfortable but also more expensive. Expect to pay around KES 4,000 to KES 6,000 for a one-way trip. Make sure to arrange for the taxi driver to return to pick you up after your visit, as public transport options may be limited.
