Getting There

Car
From Tsavo National Park, exit the park through the Bachuma Gate. Drive on the A109 road towards Voi. Continue on A109 for approximately 64 km until you reach the junction at Voi. At the junction, turn left onto the A104 road towards Mombasa. Continue for about 135 km until you reach the town of Watamu. Once in Watamu, follow the signs to Watamu Marine National Park & Reserve, which is located along the coast. There may be a small entry fee to access the park, usually around KES 1,000 for locals and KES 1,500 for foreigners.

Public Transport
From Tsavo National Park, take a matatu (shared taxi) or a bus from the nearest town (e.g., Voi) to Mombasa. The journey typically takes around 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Mombasa, head to the Mombasa bus station and catch a matatu or bus to Watamu. This leg of the trip usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival in Watamu, you can take a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to reach the entrance of Watamu Marine National Park & Reserve. Expect to pay around KES 100-200 for the boda boda ride.
