From the center of Thakhek, head south on Rue De La Paix towards the Mekong River. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue Phothisarath. Turn left onto Rue Phothisarath and walk for about 500 meters until you reach the bus station.

At the bus station, look for a bus heading towards Muang Yommalath. The buses usually display their destination on the front. The ride to Muang Yommalath should take approximately 30-40 minutes. Keep an eye out for the 'Pha Katai' sign or ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop closest to Pha Katai Viewpoint.

Once you get off the bus in Muang Yommalath, head towards the direction of the viewpoint. Walk approximately 1 kilometer northeast on the main road, keeping an eye out for signs pointing towards Pha Katai. The trail leading to the viewpoint will be marked, and it's a short hike up the hill.
