    From Lindau Inselbahnhof (the island's train station), most attractions are within a 15-minute walk. Exit the station and head towards the harbor. The Bavarian Lion and lighthouse are a short walk along the waterfront. Maximilianstrasse and the Old Town Hall are located in the heart of the old town, a few blocks inland from the harbor.

    Public Transport

    Lindau has a city bus network that connects the island to the mainland. From Lindau-Reutin (the main train station on the mainland), take bus lines 1 or 2 to the Inselbahnhof. A single ticket costs €2.90. The Echt Bodensee Card, provided by many accommodations, allows free travel on Lindau city buses.

    Ferry

    Ferries connect Lindau to various towns on Lake Constance, including Bregenz (Austria) and Rorschach (Switzerland). From the Lindau harbor, ferries depart regularly to these destinations. A one-way trip to Bregenz costs approximately €7-€10 and takes about 22 minutes. A one-way trip to Rorschach costs around €12.70 and takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
