    To reach Partnunsee using public transport, take the Rhaetian Railway RhB from Landquart or Davos to Küblis. From Küblis, take the PostBus to St. Antönien. Some buses go to St. Antönien Rüti, while others go to St. Antönien Platz (village). From St. Antönien Rüti, you can take the Bus alpin to Partnun. From the Alpenrösli bus stop, it's about a 25-minute walk to the lake. Bus tickets for the PostBus and Bus Alpin typically cost between CHF 4-8 per ride.

    From the Alpenrösli bus stop in Partnun, follow the signs towards Partnunsee. The trail is well-marked and takes approximately 25 minutes to reach the lake. The hike involves an elevation gain of about 100 meters. The path is suitable for off-road strollers, though some sections may be challenging. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes.

  • Driving

    To drive to Partnunsee, take the A13 to Landquart, then the A28 to Küblis. Turn left shortly after the roundabout towards Luzein, Pany, and St. Antönien. Continue to Partnun. Parking is available in St. Antönien, with all parking spaces subject to a fee. You can pay with cash, the Parkingpay app, or Twint. From the last parking lot (P6), it's about a 1-hour walk to the lake. Parking fees vary but expect to pay around CHF 5-10 for a day.

Partnunsee, a jewel of the Rätikon Alps, is a mountain lake situated north-northeast of St. Antönien in the municipality of Luzein. At an elevation of 1,868 meters (6,129 feet), this idyllic lake is a haven for those seeking natural beauty and outdoor adventures. The lake itself has a surface area of 3.06 hectares, a length of 410 meters, and a width of 120 meters. Its maximum depth reaches 35 meters, offering a refreshing opportunity for a swim during the warmer months. You can also rent a boat and enjoy the scenery from the water. The area surrounding Partnunsee is ideal for mountain hikes. Trails lead to the Carschina- or Tilisunahütte and to the surrounding mountains like Sulzfluh and Schijenflue. The Wanderland Route 702, the Schijenfluh Umrundung, passes directly by the lake. This 12-kilometer hike involves an ascent and descent of 880 meters and takes approximately five hours. The route crosses into Austrian territory between Tilisunafürggli and Plasseggenpass. For families, there's a climbing garden with routes for beginners. The lake also features fire pits and boats available for rent, making it a perfect spot for a family outing.
