It's about a 30-minute walk.

From the French Quarter, walk to the closest streetcar stop on Canal Street. Take the Canal Street streetcar heading towards City Park. Stay on the streetcar for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Canal Street and S. Carrollton Avenue. From there, walk east on Canal Street for about 5 minutes until you reach 5056 Canal St, the Hurricane Katrina Memorial.
