Walking
If you are starting from downtown Bar Harbor, head south on Main Street towards the waterfront. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 3. Turn right onto Route 3 and follow the road for approximately 2.5 miles. You will pass the entrance to Acadia National Park and continue on until you see the sign for Hunters Beach on your left. The beach is located a short distance down a gravel road off Route 3.
Biking
From Bar Harbor, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike shops. Once you have your bike, head south on Main Street towards the waterfront. Continue straight until you reach Route 3. Turn right onto Route 3 and bike along the road for about 2.5 miles. Look for the sign indicating Hunters Beach on your left, and turn onto the gravel road leading to the beach. The ride is scenic and enjoyable, with plenty of beautiful views along the way.
Public Transport
To reach Hunters Beach via public transport, start at the Bar Harbor Village Green. Look for the local shuttle service that operates during the tourist season. Board the shuttle that heads towards Acadia National Park and inform the driver that you would like to get off at the Hunters Beach stop. The shuttle will take you directly to the entrance of the beach area.
