From downtown Saco, head towards Main Street and walk north. Continue until you reach the intersection with Cascade Road. Turn left onto Cascade Road and follow it until you reach the Saco River. At the river, take a right and walk along the riverbank, which will lead you towards the bridge. Cross the bridge into Biddeford, then follow the road signs towards Portland. As you enter Portland, keep an eye out for Thames Street. Once you reach Thames Street, turn left and walk until you reach 49 Thames St, where the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad is located.

If you're renting a bicycle in Saco, start at the Saco Riverwalk. Cycle north along the river until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and continue until you reach Cascade Road. Make a right onto Cascade Road and follow it until you see the river again. When you reach the riverbank, take a right and follow the path towards the bridge. Cross the bridge into Biddeford, then follow the road signs to Portland.
