Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in downtown South Portland, start by heading north on Main Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway and walk for about 0.3 miles. You will then reach the Eastern Promenade. Turn right onto the Eastern Promenade and continue walking for about 0.4 miles until you reach Fort Allen Park, located at 49 Eastern Promenade. You will see the park entrance on your left.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    From any location in South Portland, locate the nearest bus stop for the South Portland Bus Service. Take the bus route that heads towards the Portland Transportation Center. Once you arrive at the Portland Transportation Center, transfer to the METRO bus route 1 (the Blue Line) towards the East End. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at the Eastern Promenade. From there, walk a short distance along the promenade until you see Fort Allen Park at 49 Eastern Promenade on your right.

    If you have access to a bike, start from your location in South Portland and head towards the Greenbelt Walkway. Follow the Greenbelt south until you reach the Eastern Promenade.
