If you are in downtown South Portland, start at the South Portland Public Library located at 482 Broadway. Head north on Broadway for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street. Walk along Main Street for approximately 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Ocean Street. Cross Ocean Street and continue straight on Main Street. After another 0.2 miles, you will reach the intersection with Valley Street. Turn right onto Valley Street and walk for about 0.2 miles. Western Promenade will be on your left side.

From South Portland, you can take the Greater Portland METRO Bus. Board the Bus Route 1 at any of the bus stops on Main Street heading towards Portland. Ride the bus for about 15-20 minutes, then get off at the stop at Valley Street. From the bus stop, walk a short distance (about 0.1 miles) south on Valley Street, and you will arrive at Western Promenade on your right.
