    From Zomba Town, head southeast on the M3 road towards the Zomba Plateau. Continue along this road for approximately 15 km. You will pass through the Zomba Mountain Range, enjoying scenic views. Take the turnoff on your left towards the Chongoni Rock Art Area. Follow the signs which will lead you through a dirt road for about 5 km until you reach the parking area at the entrance of the site. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as the last stretch is not paved.

    From Zomba Town, take a minibus heading to Blantyre and ask the driver to drop you at the Chongoni Rock Art Area junction. This should cost around 1,500 MWK. From the junction, you will need to hire a local taxi or motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you the remaining 5 km to the entrance of the Chongoni Rock Art Area. Expect to pay about 2,000-3,000 MWK for this ride. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting the journey.
