Getting There

    If you are starting from the central area of George Town, begin at the iconic Komtar building. From Komtar, head southeast on Jalan Penang towards Jalan Campbell. Continue straight until you reach Jalan Macalister. Turn left onto Jalan Macalister, and walk until you reach the junction with Jalan Perak. Turn right onto Jalan Perak, and follow it until you reach Jalan Ayer Itam. Here, you can catch a bus or follow the walking path towards Ayer Itam.

    From George Town, take Bus 201 from the Komtar Bus Terminal, which is located just a short walk from the Komtar building. This bus will take you directly to Ayer Itam. Stay on the bus until it reaches the Ayer Itam market. Once you disembark, walk along Jalan Pokok Ceri, which is well-marked and leads you to the entrance of the Penang Hill Heritage Trail.

    If you prefer to walk from Ayer Itam market, head southwest on Jalan Ayer Itam. After about 10 minutes, you will see the entrance to the Penang Hill Heritage Trail on your left.
