History of Ghajn Tuffieha Bay

Limestone, Clay and Coastal Formation

Għajn Tuffieħa’s character is rooted in Malta’s sedimentary geology. The coast combines pale limestone uplands with softer clay slopes, materials shaped over long geological periods by erosion, rainfall and marine action.
