Pjazza Teatru Rjal, or Royal Theatre Square, is an open-air performance venue in Valletta, Malta, built within the ruins of the Royal Opera House. Originally designed by Edward Middleton Barry and opened in 1866, the opera house was a premier venue until it was devastated by aerial attacks in 1942 during World War II. The ruins were re-purposed into the current piazza in 2013, offering a unique blend of historical remains and modern performance space.

Pjazza Teatru Rjal is located in the heart of Valletta, very close to the City Gate. From the main bus terminal just outside the city walls, enter Valletta through the City Gate. The theatre will be immediately visible on your right, a short walk along Republic Street.

Valletta's main bus terminal is the central hub for the entire island, located just outside the City Gate. Numerous bus routes connect to this terminal from various towns and attractions. From the terminal, walk through the City Gate; the theatre is a short distance away on the right. Bus fares are based on the time of day; day route fares cost €2.50, while night route fares are €3. Consider purchasing a Tallinja card for cheaper fares if you intend to use public transport frequently.
