Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to Inlet Boardwalk, start from any point in Assateague Island National Seashore. Head northwest on MD-611 N (Stephen Decatur Highway) towards Ocean City. Continue on MD-611 N for about 11 miles until you reach the intersection with Coastal Highway (MD-528). Turn left onto Coastal Highway (MD-528) and continue for about 3 miles. When you reach 2nd Street, turn right. Inlet Park will be on your left at 899 S 2nd St, Ocean City, MD 21842. Free parking is available near Inlet Park.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, the Ocean City bus service operates during the summer months. From Assateague Island National Seashore, take the bus towards Ocean City. Get off at the bus stop nearest to 2nd Street and Coastal Highway. Walk south on 2nd Street until you reach Inlet Park at 899 S 2nd St, Ocean City, MD 21842. Be aware that bus fares may apply, typically around $3 for a one-way trip.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Assateague Island National Seashore. Take the bike path that leads towards Ocean City. Follow the path that leads to MD-611 N and then onto Coastal Highway (MD-528). Upon reaching the intersection with 2nd Street, turn right and continue until you reach Inlet Park at 899 S 2nd St, Ocean City, MD 21842. Make sure to wear a helmet and adhere to traffic rules.

• Walking

  If you're staying nearby and wish to walk to Inlet Boardwalk, head towards the nearest roadway that leads to MD-611 N. Walk north until you can safely cross to Coastal Highway (MD-528). Continue walking on the sidewalk until you reach 2nd Street. Turn right onto 2nd Street and walk until you arrive at Inlet Park at 899 S 2nd St, Ocean City, MD 21842.
