From Elk Neck State Park, head south on Elk Neck Road (MD-272) toward Chesapeake City. Follow MD-272 for approximately 10 miles until you reach the intersection with Bethel Road. Turn right onto Bethel Road and continue for about 2 miles. The C & D Canal Museum will be on your left at 815 Bethel Rd, Chesapeake City, MD 21915. There is no entrance fee for the museum, but check their website for any special events or potential costs.

If you are using public transportation, you will first need to travel from Elk Neck State Park to the nearest bus stop. You can take a local taxi or rideshare service to get to the nearest bus stop in North East, MD. From there, take the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Bus 1 towards Wilmington. Get off at the Chesapeake City stop and use a rideshare service to reach the museum at 815 Bethel Rd, Chesapeake City, MD 21915. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as services may vary.
