If you are driving, start at the main entrance of Elk Neck State Park. Head southeast on Elk Neck Road (MD-272) for about 3 miles. Take the exit onto MD-155 E towards Havre De Grace. Continue on MD-155 E, which will turn into Level Road. After approximately 5 miles, turn left onto US-40 E. Follow US-40 E for about 2 miles, then turn right onto MD-7 S. After 1.5 miles, turn left onto a small access road. Carter-Archer Mansion will be on your right after a short drive.

From there, continue walking straight on MD-155 E for about 5 miles, then follow the directions for cars from that point to reach Carter-Archer Mansion. Note that this is a long walk, so ensure you have proper footwear and hydration.
