Car
From Green Ridge State Forest, head south on Green Ridge State Forest Road. Merge onto I-68 E via the ramp to Cumberland. Continue on I-68 E for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 43 for US-220 S toward Keyser. Merge onto US-220 S and continue for about 30 miles. Take the exit for I-70 E toward Hagerstown. After about 15 miles, take exit 32 for MD-97 N toward Olney. Merge onto MD-97 N and continue for approximately 20 miles. Turn left onto MacArthur Blvd (MD-190) and follow it for around 5 miles. The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park will be on your right at 11710 Macarthur Blvd, Potomac, MD 20854.

Public Transportation
First, you will need to take a local bus or taxi from Green Ridge State Forest to the nearest major transit station, which is in Cumberland, MD. From there, board the MARC Train (Maryland Area Regional Commuter) on the Brunswick Line heading towards Washington, D.C. After approximately 1 hour, get off at the Rockville station. From Rockville, you can take the Ride On bus #46 towards Potomac - MacArthur Blvd. This bus will take you to a stop near the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park.
