If you are arriving by car, start from the main entrance of Gunpowder Falls State Park, located at 2813 Jerusalem Road, Kingsville, MD 21087. From the entrance, head south on Jerusalem Road for about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Gunpowder Falls Road and continue for another 1 mile. Look for the parking area on your right, where you can park your car. Once parked, head to the trail entrance for the Lost Pond trail, which begins just past the parking area.

If you are using public transportation, take the MTA Maryland Route 22 bus towards Middle River. Get off at the stop closest to the Gunpowder Falls State Park entrance. From there, walk approximately 1.5 miles south on Jerusalem Road. Once you reach Gunpowder Falls Road, turn left and walk for about another mile until you see the parking area on your right. After parking, follow the marked trail to Lost Pond.
