From there, take the MARC Train towards Washington, D.C. Get off at the Washington, D.C. station (approximately a 30-minute ride). Once you arrive at the Washington Union Station, exit the station and walk towards Columbus Circle. From there, take the Metro Red Line towards Glenmont and get off at the Smithsonian Station. Exit the station and walk west on Independence Ave SW. After about a 10-minute walk, you will reach the Smithsonian Arts + Industries Building at 900 Jefferson Dr SW.

    From the Laurel Town Center, walk to the nearest bus stop and take the Prince George's County bus (Route 17) towards Greenbelt Metro Station.
