Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From your location in Waltham, head to the nearest bus stop. You can take the MBTA Bus Route 553 towards Alewife Station. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach Alewife Station. Then transfer to the Alewife subway line (Red Line) towards Ashmont. Disembark at Downtown Crossing Station. From there, it's a short walk: exit the station onto Washington Street, and walk towards Atlantic Avenue. Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway.

  • Train

    Start by walking to the Waltham MBTA Train Station. Board the Fitchburg Line train towards North Station. The journey takes around 25 minutes. Once you arrive at North Station, transfer to the Green Line and take the train towards Government Center. Get off at Park Street Station. From Park Street, walk towards the downtown area, following Tremont Street to Washington Street, and then head towards Atlantic Avenue. You should arrive at the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway in about 10 minutes.

  • Walking

    If you are close to Waltham Center, simply walk towards Main Street and head south. Continue straight on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street and continue walking for about 1 mile. This will take you to the Alewife subway station. From there, you can either continue your journey via subway or explore the area around the station.
