Getting There

Collectivo
From Playa del Carmen, head to the main collectivo terminal located on 2nd Avenue between 12th and 14th Streets. Look for a collectivo heading towards Akumal. The fare is usually around $30 pesos. Upon boarding, inform the driver you want to go to 'Fundación Santuario Akumal'. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. The collectivo will drop you off at the main road near Akumal.

Walking
After being dropped off, walk towards the entrance of Akumal. You will head south on the main road (Carretera 307) until you reach the 'Akumal' sign. At the sign, turn left onto Camino a Uxuxubi. Follow this road for about 1 km, and you will see Fundación Santuario Akumal on your right. It should take around 15-20 minutes of walking.
