If you are in the heart of Zona Romantica, the easiest way to reach Plaza de Armas is by walking. Head east on Calle Basilio Badillo until you reach the intersection with Avenida Mexico. Turn left onto Avenida Mexico and continue straight for about 10-15 minutes. You'll pass several local shops and eateries along the way. When you reach the junction with Calle Independencia, turn right. Plaza de Armas will be on your left, just a short walk down the street.

For those comfortable using public transport, you can take a bus from Zona Romantica. Locate the nearest bus stop on Avenida Mexico. Board a bus heading towards Centro. Ensure to ask the driver if the bus goes to Plaza de Armas. The fare is roughly 10-15 MXN (about 0.50-0.75 USD). Get off at the stop nearest to Plaza de Armas, and you'll see the plaza just a short walk away.
