Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in downtown Detroit, one of the simplest ways to reach William G. Milliken State Park and Harbor is by walking. Start at Campus Martius Park, located at 800 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48226. From there, head east on Woodward Ave towards Jefferson Ave. Turn left onto Jefferson Ave and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. You will pass the Detroit Riverwalk on your right. When you reach Atwater St, turn right, and the park entrance will be on your left at 1900 Atwater St. This walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

  • Public Transit - Bus

    From downtown Detroit, you can take the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) bus. Head to the nearest bus stop on Woodward Ave. Board the DDOT bus # 6 (Woodward) and ride for about 4 stops (approximately 10-15 minutes). Get off at the stop at Jefferson Ave & Atwater St. After disembarking, walk down Atwater St for about 5 minutes, and you will reach the park entrance at 1900 Atwater St. Please note that a single bus fare is $1.50.
