If you are in the downtown area, head towards the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Cass Avenue. From there, walk east along Michigan Avenue for approximately 0.3 miles until you reach the next major intersection. Turn left onto Washington Boulevard and continue walking straight for about 0.2 miles. The Detroit Police Department Monument will be located on your right, just outside of the Detroit Police Department headquarters.

Find a nearby bus stop and take the SMART Bus Route 125 or the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) bus that heads towards downtown. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Washington Boulevard. From the bus stop, walk east along Michigan Avenue for about 0.2 miles, then turn left onto Washington Boulevard. The Detroit Police Department Monument will be on your right, just outside the police headquarters.

If you are near a People Mover station, board the People Mover and ride to the Greektown station. Once you exit the station, walk northwest on Macomb Street towards St. Antoine Street. Turn left on St. Antoine Street and continue until you reach Michigan Avenue. Turn right and walk east until you reach the intersection with Washington Boulevard. The Detroit Police Department Monument will be on your right.
