Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the historic Detroit Riverwalk, head north towards Jefferson Ave and turn left. Continue walking along Jefferson Ave until you reach the intersection with Woodward Ave. From there, you will see a large park area on your right called Hart Plaza. Walk towards Hart Plaza, which is located at the intersection of Jefferson Ave and Woodward Ave. Once you reach Hart Plaza, the Point of Origin Marker is located near the entrance of the plaza, close to the riverfront.

  • Public Transit - QLine Streetcar

    If you are near the QLine Streetcar, board the streetcar heading towards the northbound direction. Get off at the 'Grand Circus Park' stop. From there, walk south along Woodward Avenue. Keep walking until you reach the intersection of Jefferson Ave. At this point, turn right (west) onto Jefferson Ave and continue walking towards Hart Plaza. The Point of Origin Marker is located within Hart Plaza, near the riverfront entrance.
