  • Public Transit

    If you are starting from downtown Detroit, walk to the nearest QLINE station at the corner of Woodward Avenue and Congress Street. Board the QLINE streetcar heading north towards the New Center area. Stay on the QLINE for approximately 10 minutes, and disembark at the stop for West Grand Boulevard. From the QLINE stop, walk east on West Grand Boulevard for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Blaine Street. Turn left onto Blaine Street and continue walking for about 2 minutes. The Michigan State Historical Marker will be on your right at 165-1 Blaine St.

    If you are closer to the Detroit Historical Museum, you can walk to the Michigan State Historical Marker. Head north on Woodward Avenue from the museum for about 10 minutes until you reach West Grand Boulevard. Turn left onto West Grand Boulevard and walk for about 3 minutes. Then, turn right onto Blaine Street, and walk for about 2 minutes. The marker will be on your right at 165-1 Blaine St.

    From the Detroit People Mover station at Greektown, take the People Mover to the station at the Renaissance Center. From there, exit and walk to the nearest bus stop for the DDOT bus route 53 (Woodward). Board the bus heading towards the New Center area. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the bus stop nearest to West Grand Boulevard. Walk east on West Grand Boulevard for about 5 minutes, then turn left onto Blaine Street. The Michigan State Historical Marker will be on your right at 165-1 Blaine St.
