Walking
From the main ferry dock on Mackinac Island, head northwest on Main Street. Continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Cadotte Avenue. Turn left on Cadotte Avenue and walk for another 0.3 miles until you reach the area known as the Grand Hotel. From there, take the path that leads towards the woods, which will eventually connect you to the Mackinac Island State Park trails. Follow the signs for the trails leading towards the west side of the island. Continue on the trail until you reach a viewpoint overlooking the water. McGulpin Rock is located on the mainland, so you will need to take a ferry back to Mackinaw City to see it.
