Walking
If you are in downtown Mount Pleasant, start by heading south on Main Street towards High Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with East Broadway Street. Turn right onto East Broadway Street and walk for another 0.2 miles. You will then reach the bus stop at the Mount Pleasant Transit Center. From here, catch the Carolina Coastal Transit bus number 40 in the direction of Charleston. Get off at the stop on Meeting Street, which is approximately a 15-minute ride. From the bus stop, walk 2 blocks south on Meeting Street, and you will arrive at The Charleston Museum located at 360 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29403.
Bicycling
If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Mount Pleasant. Start your journey by biking south on Main Street, which turns into Coleman Boulevard. Follow Coleman Boulevard until you reach the bridge leading to Charleston. Continue on Coleman Boulevard until you reach the intersection with Meeting Street. Turn left onto Meeting Street and bike for about 1 mile until you reach The Charleston Museum at 360 Meeting St. There are bike racks available outside the museum for you to secure your bike.
Public Transit
To reach The Charleston Museum via public transport, locate the nearest bus stop in Mount Pleasant. Take the CARTA bus number 40, which heads towards Charleston. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Disembark at the Meeting Street stop. Once you get off, walk 2 blocks south along Meeting Street to reach your destination at 360 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29403. Make sure to check the bus schedule for accurate timing.
