If you are traveling by car within Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, head south on M-22 from Glen Arbor. Continue for about 15 miles until you reach the intersection with H-55. Turn left onto H-55 and continue for approximately 2 miles. You will then take a right onto Gilbert Rd. The entrance to Arcadia Dunes: The C.S. Mott Nature Preserve will be on your left after a short drive. There is no entry fee for the preserve, but be sure to have your vehicle's parking pass for the National Lakeshore if you plan to visit other areas.

Currently, public transportation options are limited in this rural area, but you can utilize local shuttle services or taxi services that operate around the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. If you are staying in a nearby town, inquire at your hotel or visitor center about shuttle services that may operate to Arcadia Dunes. Once you reach the nearest drop-off point on H-55, you will need to walk approximately half a mile along Gilbert Rd to reach the entrance of the preserve.
