As you approach Glen Arbor, watch for signs indicating 'The Sleeping Bear.' Turn right onto Lake Michigan Road and follow it until you reach the parking area at the base of the dune. Be aware that there may be a parking fee, typically around $10 per vehicle, which is valid for one day.

Currently, public transportation options to The Sleeping Bear are limited. If you are staying in Glen Arbor, check with local shuttle services or inquire at your accommodation for any seasonal shuttles that may operate within the park. If you do find a shuttle, ensure it drops you off at the Dune Climb area, which is the closest access point to The Sleeping Bear. From there, you can walk to the dune itself, which is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your pace.
