Public Bus
If you are near downtown Traverse City, head to the nearest bus stop for the Bayline Transit. Board the Bayline route towards the 'East Side' and stay on the bus for about 20 minutes. Disembark at the 'US-31 & M-72' stop. From there, head south on US-31 for approximately 0.5 miles. You will see the entrance to Keith J. Charters Traverse City State Park on your left.

If you have a bicycle, start at the intersection of Front Street and Union Street. Ride east on Front Street, which will turn into M-72. Continue until you reach the intersection with US-31. Turn right (south) onto US-31 and bike for about 1 mile. The park entrance will be on your left. Make sure to use the bike lanes where available.
