From your current location in Monaco-Ville, head towards the main road, Avenue de la Costa. Follow this road until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the exit onto Boulevard Louis II, which will lead you down towards the Port. Continue along Boulevard Louis II until you reach the junction with Rue des Remparts. Turn left onto Rue des Remparts and follow it up the hill. You will pass the Palais Princier on your right. Continue straight until you reach the entrance of the old town of Monaco, known as Monaco-Ville. Once in Monaco-Ville, enjoy the views and make your way towards the exit of the old town, bringing you to the main road leading towards Italy.

From Monaco-Ville, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Avenue de la Costa. Take bus number 100 towards Ventimiglia. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Disembark at the Dolceacqua stop. From the bus stop, follow the signs to Via Castello, which will lead you directly to Castello di Dolceacqua. The castle is a short walk from the bus stop, and you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding area as you approach.
