Hiking
If you are starting from the Apgar Visitor Center, head west along the Apgar Loop Road. Continue walking along the road for about half a mile until you reach the junction of the Loop Road and the trailhead for the Apgar Amphitheater. The trailhead is marked and provides access to the hiking trail that leads to the amphitheater.

From Lake McDonald Lodge, begin your hike by taking the trail that leads towards the lake's south shore. Follow the well-marked path until you reach the junction with the Apgar Loop Road. Turn right onto the Loop Road and continue walking for approximately 0.5 miles until you find the trailhead for Apgar Amphitheater.

Public Transport
If you are near West Glacier, you can catch the park shuttle service which operates during the summer months. Board the shuttle at the West Glacier station and request a stop at the Apgar Visitor Center. From there, follow the instructions provided for hiking to the Apgar Amphitheater as described above.
