Getting There

    If you are starting from the Apgar Visitor Center, head towards the shuttle bus stop located just outside the visitor center. The shuttles to West Glacier run frequently during the summer months. Board the shuttle heading towards the West Glacier area. The ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the West Glacier stop, follow the signs to the West Glacier entrance to the park.

  • Bike Rental

    From the Apgar Visitor Center, you can rent a bike from the nearby rental shop. Once you have your bike, head east on the Going-to-the-Sun Road. The road offers beautiful views and gentle slopes. Continue biking for about 2 miles until you reach the West Glacier entrance. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all biking rules within the park.

    If you're feeling adventurous and prefer to walk, start at the Apgar Visitor Center and follow the path that leads towards the Going-to-the-Sun Road.
