Getting There

Walking
From the center of Herceg Novi, head towards the promenade along the coast. Continue walking in the direction of the main ferry terminal (Luka Herceg Novi) which is about a 15-minute walk. Once you reach the terminal, you will see signs for the boat to Dubrovnik. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Dubrovnik, which will take approximately 1 hour. When you arrive at the Dubrovnik port, follow the signs to Pile Gate, which will take you through the main entrance of the Old Town. From Pile Gate, walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Fort Lovrijenac, which is located on a cliff overlooking the sea.

Bus
Start from the main bus station in Herceg Novi. Take a local bus heading towards Dubrovnik. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Dubrovnik main bus station, follow the signs for the local transport to Pile Gate. You can take a local bus or walk, which will take about 15 minutes. Once you reach Pile Gate, walk straight for about 10 minutes to find Fort Lovrijenac.

Taxi/Private Transfer
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Herceg Novi to Dubrovnik. Ask the driver to take you to Fort Lovrijenac directly. The journey will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off near Pile Gate, and from there it's a short walk to the fort, taking approximately 10 minutes.
