Car
From Kathmandu, head east on Prithvi Highway (also known as the Kathmandu-Bhaktapur Highway) towards Bhaktapur. After approximately 12 km, take the exit toward Nagarkot from the highway. Continue straight for about 15 km until you reach Nagarkot. After entering Nagarkot, follow the signs to the Nagarkot Waterfall. There are local signs directing you to the waterfall, and parking is available nearby. Be cautious as the road can be narrow and winding.

Public Transportation (Bus)
Start by taking a local bus from the Ratna Park bus station in Kathmandu to Bhaktapur. The fare is around NPR 50-100. After reaching Bhaktapur, transfer to a microbus heading to Nagarkot. The microbus fare is approximately NPR 150-200. Once you arrive in Nagarkot, you can walk to the Nagarkot Waterfall. It’s about a 30-minute hike from the main road, so wear comfortable shoes and follow any local guidance for the best route.

For a more direct and comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from Kathmandu to Nagarkot. Taxis are available throughout the city and should cost between NPR 2,500-3,500 for a one-way trip. The driver can take you directly to the Nagarkot Waterfall or drop you off at the nearest point where you can begin your hike. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. Upon arriving, be prepared for a short hike to the waterfall.
