Walking
From Nagarkot, head down the main path towards the south until you reach the main road. Once you reach the main road, turn left and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. This will lead you to the junction where you can take a local bus or continue walking. If you choose to walk, keep heading down the road; it will lead you toward Bhaktapur. After approximately 10-15 minutes of walking, you will notice signs directing you toward Kathmandu. Keep following these signs until you reach the outskirts of Kathmandu.

From Nagarkot, walk down to the main road where you will find a local bus stop. Catch a bus heading towards Bhaktapur or Kathmandu. The journey will take about 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic. Make sure to inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at Thamel, Kathmandu. The bus will drop you off at a designated stop in Thamel, which is a short walk to Outfitter Nepal Treks and Expedition P. Ltd.

If you're up for an adventure, you can hike from Nagarkot to Kathmandu. This will take approximately 4-5 hours. Start by following the main trail leading down from Nagarkot. You will pass through beautiful villages and lush landscapes. Make sure to ask locals for directions to Kathmandu as you go along, as they can guide you through the best paths. Eventually, you will reach the outskirts of Kathmandu; from there, use a map or ask for directions to Thamel where Outfitter Nepal is located.
