Walking
If you are in the center of Haarlem, head towards the main square known as the Grote Markt. From there, walk southeast on the Grote Houtstraat until you reach the intersection with the Gedempte Oude Gracht. Turn left onto Gedempte Oude Gracht and continue until you reach the train station Haarlemmermeerstation. From the station, take a train to Leiden, which takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden Central Station, exit the station and walk to the bus stop directly outside. Catch bus number 5 towards 'Leiden, Rapenburg' and get off at the stop named 'Rapenburg'. The National Museum of Antiquities will be just a short walk ahead.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Haarlem. From the city center, head to the south exit and follow the cycle path along the canal towards Leiden. It’s about a 20-minute bike ride, and you will enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Upon reaching Leiden, follow signs to the city center and then to Rapenburg. The museum is located at Rapenburg 28, easily accessible by bike.

From Haarlem Central Station, take a direct train to Leiden. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule at the station or on your smartphone. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden Central Station, exit the station and walk to the bus stop just outside. Catch bus number 5 towards 'Leiden, Rapenburg' and disembark at the 'Rapenburg' stop. The National Museum of Antiquities is located just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop.
